Heck? No

If you say “heck”, as in “what the heck?”, you may want to visit this link and realize what it is you’re saying…or what it is others may think you’re saying.

“Heck” is a minced oath and may not be as harmless as it appears. To some, it may be more than just a word said in frustration or for emphasis.

Shocked by the thought that “heck” is seen by some as a combination of “hell” and “the f word” – and the fact that I sometimes am inclined to utter “what the heck?” – I’ve found it prudent to inventory my speech, and speech patterns to see what it is I’m saying – and why.

When was the last time you took inventory of your habitual sayings?
